Objective:
Control of contamination form welding/grinding process.
Solution:
Installation of capture at source fume and dust extraction system equipment for local contamination control.
System components:
- Smart One filter system.
- Capture at source extraction arms.
- High volume extraction fan.
- Interconnecting ductwork.
The operator is required to position the self-supporting arm into the contamination source where the fume and dust can be extracted away from the breathing zone and deposited into the self-contained filter unit.
The filtered cleaned air is then returned to the workplace, making the filter system environmentally friendly without heat loss from the general working area.
